Good Governance in the Community & Voluntary Sector
The Charities Act is a timely reminder to us all that greater levels of regulation and accountability now apply to the community and voluntary sector.
The Carmichael Centre Training & Support Service provides training and consultancy on: governance and leadership; planning and quality; managing people; communications and promotion; managing money and resources.
Training and consultancy is delivered on-site, in the organisation's office or at a location of their choosing within Ireland. We can arrange a full-day, half-day or evening input and can focus on one or several topics.
Training & Development Programme
Our Training & Development Programme is designed to increase the effectiveness and impact of your organisation and includes short courses for boards, staff and volunteers, as well as FREE Fora on current topics in the community and voluntary sector.
Quality Assurance Planning
Charity trustees and managers need to consider how to strengthen their organisation in response to the requirements of the Charities Act. The Carmichael Centre itself has embarked on a self-assessment quality assurance programme through the implementation of PQASSO ©, which covers 12 quality areas that are important to all voluntary and community organisations. In addition, we provide mentoring and advice to boards and staff who wish to enhance quality management systems within their organisations.
If you would like further information about any of the supports outlined above, please get back to us. Check out our scheduled training and FREE Fora and book online on: http://www.carmichaelcentre.ie/training-program
